Franz Xaver Miller wasn't a playing card manufacturer in the strictest sense; he was a
bookbinder and publisher of copperplate engravings. The instructional cards he published
were engraved by Michael Kauperz. The manufacturer of the playing cards is unknown, but it was
probably Leopold Milchram — Miller was, after all,
godfather to one of Milchram's children.
